Re: GEMS 1-18-9 cumulative counter group/# precincts reporting

In the Election Summary dilaog in addition to counter group you have to specify a precinct you want to see results for.
The reason why Number of Precincts displays all the absentee report precincts is because the report has been created for "Jurisdiction Wide" district.

GEMS should properly report the report precincts reporting for a counter group in the Election Summary report.  See below.

Subject: GEMS 1-18-9 cumulative counter group/# precincts reporting

An election is defined with cumulative counter groups Absentee and Early Voting, Absentee tallying to the Absentee report precinct, and Early Voting to the Early Voting report precinct.  An Election Summary report is issued for one of the Absentee counter groups only, with the Num. Pcts Reporting check box selected.

The report indicates two precincts reporting - in fact, all cumulative report precincts, even though the Absentee counter group tallies only to one report precinct.  GEMS must know what report precincts the counter group tallies to in order to include correct results on the report - why not also report the correct number of report precincts?
